Change of perspective: How to solve strategic policy questions correctly
In the fast-moving business world of today proponent of “business as usual” have lost long ago: Only those who preserve their agility, who never lose sight of the competition and who anticipate relevant trends with a certain foresight, may successful sustainable development.
The basic for this is a well definite corporate strategy. Although the purpose of a corporate strategy should not have to be explained in more detail, businesses of all sizes and maturity levels have repeatedly partly serious failings in this discipline: In some cases, the strategy focuses strictly on existing markets without a look on potentials in similar markets. In other cases the strategy is only globally oriented without a focus on local influences.
These and other obstacles cannot completely prevented by strategy workshops but they can be refuted. In addition to define a clear, reliable strategy such workshops help in particular the alignment of all participating people. Only when all involved people created a target together a strategy can be really lived.
